I, like most of us, started running as a way to “get in shape.” What started as a means of fitness ended up evolving as a reason of purpose in my life.
I was born and raised by an Italian immigrant family in Brooklyn, New York City - working hard was preached to my brothers and I our entire lives. If we don’t constantly test ourselves, we might not ever know the true extent to which we can exist.
Running has become a parallel to this life’s purpose. I’ve found comfort in running far, fast and especially when I don’t want to. Constantly jumping hurdles has become a way to romanticize my own life and feel like I’m always checking off boxes
